A small Copenhagen publisher, and what that actually means

Cuiz Game Design was registered in Denmark on 26.03.2021 and works with independent developers on publishing, porting, quality assurance and getting games in front of players.

What we are

We are a registered Danish business operating from Copenhagen, working in the publishing side of games: the storefront paperwork, the porting, the test passes, the rating submissions and the release plan. The industry code we are registered under — 582100, Udgivelse af videospil — is the same activity this site advertises, which is not always true of companies selling publishing services.

What we are not

We are not a large publisher with a marketing department and a war chest, and this site does not pretend otherwise. There is no wall of client logos here, no case studies with numbers nobody can check, and no page of awards. If you want to know whether we have done a specific thing before, ask, and we will answer honestly — including when the answer is no.

We do not publish a funding capacity, a per-title ceiling or an investment figure. What a specific agreement covers is set out in that agreement after the technical assessment, and not before.

How we choose what to publish

A small publisher can only do a few things properly at a time, so we look for projects where the work we do actually moves the needle: a game that is close enough to finished to be assessed, a team that wants a publishing partner rather than a bank, and a target platform mix where porting and store work is the difference between shipping and not.

Everything else — genre, art style, whether the game is commercially obvious — matters much less than whether we can be useful to it.

The legal shape of the business

Cuiz Game Design is a Danish Enkeltmandsvirksomhed (ENK) registered in the Central Business Register under CVR-nr. 42254495. It is a sole proprietorship, not a limited company, and it is presented as such throughout this site.

The Danish CVR entry for 42254495 records the legal name, address, start date (26.03.2021) and industry code 582100 (Udgivelse af videospil). No Danish public register publishes a company telephone number or mailbox, so those are operated details supplied by the business, not filed ones.
